Choosing a resolution

Resolution sets the pixel size: a Letter page at 150 dpi is 1275 × 1650 pixels, at 300 dpi it is 2550 × 3300. 150 dpi is plenty for screens and most uploads; 300 dpi is for printing.

Pages are rendered by pdf.js in this tab, the same engine Firefox uses to show PDFs, so they look as they do in a browser viewer. Form field values are included.

Steps

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Pick the resolution and quality.
  3. Choose all pages or a range.
  4. Download the JPG or the ZIP.

Limits, stated plainly

  • A very long document at 300 dpi makes a large ZIP; pick a range if you need only some pages.
