How this runs

Nothing loads until you add a file. Then the engine starts in a Web Worker in this tab.

How the stamp is applied

Each page gets its number drawn into its content in bold Helvetica on a small white backing, so it stays readable over a scanned page. The output file is named with the first and last number of the range, which makes the next production’s start number easy to find.

Because the file is processed in this tab, documents under a protective order or with client data never go to a third-party server.

Steps

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Set the prefix, first number and digits.
  3. Choose the position.
  4. Save; the file is named after its first and last number.

Limits, stated plainly

  • One file at a time: to continue the sequence in the next file, set its start number to the last number + 1 (shown after each run).
  • Court and agency formatting rules vary; check the order or local rule that applies to your production.
