What “editing” a PDF really means
A PDF stores where each character is drawn, not paragraphs that can reflow like a word-processor document. So to change a word, you cover it (white-out) and type the new text on top. This tool does exactly that, and says so, instead of pretending to edit in place.
White-out hides text visually but does not delete it: the original words are still in the file and can be copied or found by search. If something must be gone, use Redact, which removes it.
Notes are saved as standard PDF comments that Acrobat, Preview and browsers show as sticky notes.
Steps
- Add the PDF.
- Pick a tool (text, white-out, highlight, shape, image, note).
- Click or drag on the page; adjust in the list.
- Save and download.
Limits, stated plainly
- Existing text cannot be edited in place or reflowed.
- New text uses standard fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) with Latin characters.
