Rotate PDF pages and save the fix

Turn one page, a few, or all of them by 90° or 180°, and save the file so it opens the right way up everywhere.

How this runs

Nothing loads until you add a file. Then the engine starts in a Web Worker in this tab.

Saved rotation, not a view setting

Rotating in a viewer usually changes only how you see the page, and it resets when someone else opens the file. This tool writes the rotation into each page, so the next person (or the upload portal) sees it upright.

Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed: the page content is untouched, only its rotation value changes, so the file size stays almost the same.

Steps

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Rotate all pages, or select pages and rotate them.
  3. Check the thumbnails.
  4. Save and download.

Limits, stated plainly

  • Scans that are slightly crooked need straightening, not rotation; scan-to-pdf does that for new scans.
Already have Preview or Edge? Preview (Tools → Rotate, then save) and Acrobat Reader’s View → Rotate (view only) can rotate too; only saving the file makes it stick.
